JOLLITY release.....

26 September 2006

A mini-overview of life since the release of the seminal “JOLLITY”..

PUGWASH - 2006.

Yes, things happened and happened BIG!! All reviews of “Jollity” yielded a PHENOMENAL response with album of the week/year and even the millenium been mentioned. The band of the summer 2006 was how Ryan Tubridy described The Pugs when they performed live on Ireland’s number 1 breakfast radio show!! Performances on FM104, 2FM and various regional stations meant the Pug-Word was spreading and spreading FAST!!

JOLLITY has sold out of its initial run in TOWER RECORDS Dublin and since it’s release has sold out – sold out – and SOLD OUT!! The in-store was a great success with Thomas performing solo. Playing mainly new stuff but also dedicating the Pugs classic “The Finer Things In Life” to the then disgraced Kate Moss (Ba-doom-tish). She’s back though…..

On the gig front, to say that the Crawdaddy launch gig was a success would be an understatement! It was MAGNIFICENT!! The band performed for an hour and ten minutes to an audience of fans and musical peers. Spotted in the audience and backstage were Mundy, Dave Couse, Graham Hopkins, Dara, Q, members of Las Vegas Basement, The Classic Beatles, Bell X1 and MORE!! The Pugs had a unique and wonderful support act in the guise of NEOSUPERVITAL who has to be seen to be…..SEEN!! A splendid night was had by all and a scphpllendiid (hic..hic) morning was also enjoyed…..! Thanks to all who supported us on that particular night and over the last calender year. It was great that the band got to top off the success of “Jollity” with an appearance on “the longest running chat show in the history of television”. The Late Late Show. The clip of which is available on this very site for your perusal.

It’s all only the beginning really what with a brand spanking and possibly award winning new web-site and the imminent release of “Jollity” in the U.K in October (31st) things are beginning to hot up…..

Stay alert Puggers…..
