PUGWASH NEWS - SUMMER 2008.....
New single out on July 14th…..
Hi all.
The next single to be whisked from ‘Eleven Modern Antiquities’ will be At the sea c/w On with the show (The a-side is an Andy Partridge co-write and he plays phenomenal guitar, kazoo, swanee whistles and Melotron on it too!!). It will be out mid-July as a download and a physical c.d single. All relevant details are contained below in the very latest press release from our label 1969 Records.
“Pugwash follow up the successful launch single – Take me away – from the album – Eleven Modern Antiquities – with – At the Sea b/w On with the Show- which will be released on the 14th of July. At the Sea, is a co write with the great Andy Partridge and features playing from Andy too. On with the Show is a cover of an Idle Race lost classic, and has been approved by most of the members of the original band, although we are waiting to hear from Jeff Lynne about it!!!
Again, it will be available in limited edition CD format through the shop on the 1969 site as well as in Road Records and will be available for digital download from iTunes.
We are hoping to have a video made as well so keep an eye out for that over the course of the summer it is bound to be a bit of fun. There is some ongoing activity in relation to the Pugwash album, and we have interest from distributors in the UK, Japan and the US for the album so we are talking to all those guys now and we will keep you all fully posted as developments occur.”
